CCS News:

The big news is that 9 UK CCS projects have applied to DECC for the NER300 European funding, from a total of about 20 in Europe as a whole. Three in are Scotland, four in Humberside and two are in Teesside.

6) The summer school season is fast approaching:

  • Research Experience in Carbon Sequestration will be in Birmingham , Alabama, USA, June 5 – 15. They list about 50 lecturers on the staff page, with some big names. deadline April 15. link
  • The 2011 IEA-GHG Summer School 18 – 22 July, Champaign, Illinois, USA. Deadline Feb 28. link
  • The UKERC: Understanding energy, low-carbon resilient energy systems and their impacts programme, 26 June – 1 July, University of Warwick. Deadline 17 March. link
